Our Story
Hi, I’m Leonie—founder of Wool and Wick Candles
And I grew up on a farm in The Catlins. Tucked away in South Otago along the Southern Scenic Route, it's a place where nature still speaks loud and clear. This remote corner of New Zealand is raw, untouched, and deeply soulful.
It’s a land of contrasts: roaring southern swells meet quiet rolling farmland, while native bush stretches down to the sea. The air is fresh, the roads are quiet, and time slows right down. It’s the kind of place that stays with you—where childhood memories are stitched together.
Years later, I found myself in Feilding, with a longing to bring those moments back to life. That’s how Wool and Wick Candles was born—a candle brand built on memory, honesty, and a deep love for the land.
Each candle I make is hand-poured using natural soy wax and clean, eco-friendly ingredients with a deep appreciation for nature and a commitment to sustainability.
